About Us

View Road School is situated close to the main township of Waiuku, within walking distance of the local pool and town library. With seven classrooms and three specialist rooms on a large and spacious site, we over look the estuary and to the west the Kariotahi hills.

One of our special features of our junior programme is that once a week we run a Forest School Explorers Programme for all 5 and 6 year olds.

Our Middle and Senior school students enjoy a range of organised sports coaching and playing from a variety of providers, both in school training  and inter school competition.

We are proud of the device provision our Board are committed to, investing in 1-1 school owned devices in the middle and senior school, allowing for provision of equity across all students.

Our school currently hosts over 450 students from around the region who attend our school for technology provision one day each, over a two week timetable.

Central to the township we host the Department of Health - Waiuku Dental Hub, with a recently refurbished three chair dental suite.

Also on our site we have the Waiuku Parkside Special School satellite unit. Where children who are require support to operate successfully in a mainstream school are able to attend their local school.

Our school hall, built in the 1980's by the then School Board, is used by community groups to provide a range of additional sport and club based activities for our community.
